A documentary screening this month in the Snowy Mountains is hoped to raise awareness and support of important events not far from Australian shores.
West Papuan Herman Wainggai will be sharing his own personal journey and screening a 30 minute documentary that he's made to raise awareness and support for West Papuan independence.
Herman spent three years in Indonesian prisons for peacefully protesting military brutality in West Papua, before fleeing to Australia as a refugee and campaigning for human rights.
The screening will take place at the Jindabyne Town Hall, Saturday the 24th of March.
