Rally: Demonstration to call for freedom for political prisoners in West Papua. There are many West Papuan political prisoners in Indonesian jails, given long sentences under the absurd charge of 'makar': for peaceful assembly, raising the West Papuan flag or being present when this flag was raised. We ask that they all be released as free speech should never be a crime. 11am-1pm. Indonesian Consulate, 78 Queens Rd, Melbourne.

Film: West papua film night. Films about the political situation in West Papua & also films showing the natural beauty & amazing biodiversity that is being threatened by deforestation. 7:30pm. Level 2, Kindness House, 288 Brunswick St, Fitzroy. Entry by donation.
